Meet Wendy
Wendy Burch Steel is the Mother of Mother's Love for Your Pet! Having been born with a natural love for all living creatures and animal companions, she is your first contact for Mother's Love. She first had the inspiration to start a pet care business in 1994, while working as an office manager, writer and editor. She had left her beloved dogs at a kennel during her vacation, and when she arrived home and found they were stressed and unhappy, she thought to herself, there has got to be a way that people can leave their animals in a loving, safe, and familiar atmosphere….. and Mother's Love for Your Pet was born! Until she began to hire professional pet sitters to help out with her large number of happy clients, Wendy was the sole pet sitter for Mother’s Love.

Clare Pears is a natural with animals! She has been a professional assistant Racehorse trainer for over 20 years, and has overseen horses running in the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes and other prestigious races. She spends 7 mornings a week galloping and overseeing the daily care of horses, and then she begins her daily dog walks and drop-in pet sitting for Mother's Love for Your Pet! She always goes above and beyond the call of duty when caring for the dogs and cats of Mother’s Love, and the clients she services always have high praise and admiration for her. She has been entrusted by leading horse trainers with extremely valuable horses, and now she is trusted completely and loved by every Mother's Love for Your Pet client and animal in her care. Nancy MacMorris has a natural way with all animals, and cats and dogs respond to her immediately. Her gentle manner and her love and experience with animals has made her an invaluable helper of Mother's Love. She has great references with her past pet sitting clients, and has been a long-time volunteer for Oakland Animal Services. She is beloved by every client and animal she services!
